About Us

Introducing Dr. Coombs:

Dr. Keith Coombs loves teeth! His father is an orthodontist in Utah, his brother is a dentist in California, and his sister is a dental hygienist in Utah.  Dr. Coombs began working in the orthodontic field for his father when he was just 13 years old.  He enjoys helping all of his patients obtain the best smile that they can have.  He attended Utah State University where he competed with the USU ski and soccer teams. He attended dental school at the University of the Pacific. He graduated in the top 5% of his class and was inducted into the TKO dental honor society for his scholastic achievements in dental school. He was also inducted into the distinguished OKU National Dental Honor Fraternity for his accomplishments in patient care and academics. After graduating from dental school in 2005, he received his orthodontic training at Temple University in Philadelphia where he completed a residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. He earned a Masters degree in oral biology from Temple University with his thesis project involving a study of the Invisalign System.  He enjoys giving lectures about various dental and orthodontic topics.  If you have a group you would like him to speak to, please let us know.

Dr. Keith Coombs is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and the Alaska state dental and orthodontic societies.

Dr. Coombs has been married to his wife Cathie since 2001 and has four children: Colter, Emi,  Corbin, and Dax. Their family loves outdoor sports and activities.

Introducing Our Awesome Staff:

	Jane Raines is the business manager, treatment coordinator, and scheduling coordinator. She will take care of all your insurance, scheduling, payments, and answer any questions that you may have. She has studied tap and ballet dancing since she was three and when shes not in the office you can usually find her in a dance studio.
	Amanda Townsend came to us after working in a general dentistry practice. She assists Dr. Coombs chair-side in tooth adjustments and arch wire changes. She  will also help at the front desk with scheduling your appointments and taking payments. In Amanda’s time off she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, she is an avid hunter and loves the long Alaska moose hunting season. She also loves fishing the Kenai River in the summer when the salmon are running.
	Paul Raines is a treamtent coordinator and the lab specialist. He works closely with Dr. Coombs in patient treatment and performs lab work for our patients. He has an associates degree in dental assisting  from UAA and is currently working on his B.S. in Biological sciences. In his free time he enjoys camping, hiking and watching sports.
	Hayley Henrikson assists Dr. Coombs in patient procedures, performs orthodontic lab work, and does all of our follow up care calls. In Hayley’s free time she enjoys hiking and camping. In the winter you can catch her hitting the half-pipe at Alyeska on her snowboard.
